**Level: **This course is for students who have previously taken at least 14 weeks of wheel throwing classes. You should be comfortable throwing 4+ lbs. of clay.
Level up your wheel throwing skills in this 7 week wheel throwing intensive focused on traditional Korean throwing techniques. During the course you'll learn to throw larger, shape a traditional Korean moon jar, create large and small scale vessels, throw off the hump and more!
This class includes unlimited open studio access!
TEACHER BIO: Itai Lavie is a NYC based artist and ceramicist who specializes in wheel-thrown Korean pottery. He crafts forms like the Moon Jar using traditional Korean techniques. Interested in the history of Korean decorative arts, his work explores the intersection of heritage, craft, and contemporary design. With a background in various mediums, Itai creates sculptures and installations in stone, wood, metal, clay, and plaster. blending traditional methods with innovation to render cultural and visual narratives.
If a student decides to withdraw after the semester begins, there are no refunds unless if there is a replacement student available.
One makeup class allotted per session. No make ups after the class ends. Full refunds are offered if cancellation happens up to 2 days before a class starts. No refunds less than 48 hours before the class begins. A substitute attendee may be named by the booking party at any time
