Beza Studio is both a ceramics school and the working studio of Alyssa Beza, a ceramic artist based in New York City. Alyssa graduated from The State University of New York at Oswego with a BFA in Drawing and Painting with concentration in Ceramics and an MAT in K-12 Art Education. She taught K-12 art for 7 years before becoming a ceramic instructor and private art instructor for kids. She is well versed in both wheel throwing and hand-building,
Alyssa's abstract sculptures explore tension and balance between forms, playfully uncovering subconscious thought, through use of non-representational shapes. Her forms aim to embody the concept that ideas are living beings that want to emerge into existence.

Beza Studio aims to offer a welcoming space for beginner potters and kids aged 5+. Our curriculum is built on the foundation that humans are inherently creative. Our long term classes are designed to engage creative thought processes and encourage the flow of imaginative ideas in everyday life. Our classes focus on the process of generating ideas through guided research and sketching and aim to assist students in realization of their creative vision and in finding their creative voice.
At a cap of 6 people our classes are small and offer the opportunity for one on one instruction and attention. We value exposing students to a range of clay bodies, and surface techniques and firing temperatures.
